Based on the systematic of the well-known closed circuit mobile transmissions, a new hydrostatic transmission system, to be applied in power hydraulics, is introduced in this paper. There are multiple ways of conserving the energy of a vehicle to improve efficiency. The use of flywheel technology or hydraulic accumulator or both, an effective means of conserving energy in hybrid vehicles. This paper presents the introduction, mathematical modeling and review of the engineering and mechanics of the flywheel, and will clarify how flywheel and hydraulic accumulator energy storage work and how they can be applied to hybrid vehicles.

This paper aims to provide good understanding regarding philosophy and teachings of Quality Gurus .Over the past few decades, writers such as Deming, Crosby, Juran, Feigenbaum, Ishikawa, Taguchi and others have developed certain propositions in the area of quality management. Their insights into quality management provide a good understanding of quality management principles. An example of one such proposition is: quality is a responsibility of the whole organization, rather than of the quality department. There are many such propositions covering different aspects of quality management practices. The following sections present the main ideas proposed by these quality gurus.

Intercooling of air compressors is necessary for an efficient process. A heat exchanger of shell and tube type particularly suitable as an intercooler between compression stages of a compressor. A characteristic of heat exchanger design is the procedure of specifying a design, heat transfer area and pressure drops and checking whether the assumed design satisfies all requirements or not. The purpose of my research paper is to provide an easy and efficient way to design of an air compressor intercooler. Design methodology is based on the open literature and latest standard provided by the TEMA to industry. This paper describes modelling of heat exchanger which is based on the minimization of heat transfer area and a flow chart is provided showing the designing procedure involved. Based on the proposed algorithm MATLAB® code is prepared. Computer codes for design are organized to vary systematically the exchanger parameters such as, shell diameter, baffle spacing, number of tube-side pass to identify configurations that satisfy the specified heat transfer and pressure drops. A case study is provided for which the program is run and the results obtained are compared with the available from industry data.

The objective of this work is to create biogas which will be more cost effective, eco-friendly, cut down on landfill waste, generate a high-quality renewable fuel, and reduce carbon dioxide & methane emissions. Overall by creating biogas reactors on campus in the backyard of our hostels will be beneficial. Kitchen (food waste) was collected from different sources as feedstock for our reactor which works as anaerobic digester system to produce biogas energy. The anaerobic digestion of kitchen waste produces biogas, a valuable energy resource anaerobic digestion is a microbial process for production of biogas, which consist of primarily methane (CH4) & carbon dioxide (CO2). Biogas can be used as energy source and also for numerous purposes. But, any possible applications require knowledge & information about the composition and quantity of constituents in the biogas produced. The continuously-fed digester requires addition of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to maintain the alkalinity and pH to 7. For this reactor we have prepared our Inoculum than we installed batch reactors, to which inoculum of previous cow dung slurry along with the kitchen waste was added to develop our own inoculum. A combination of these mixed inoculum was used for biogas production at 37°C in laboratory(small scale) reactor (20L capacity) In our study, the production of biogas and methane is done from the starch-rich and sugary material and is determined at laboratory scale using the simple digesters.

Thermal management and energy crisis have been two major problems in this 21st century. Engine exhaust has tremendous amount of energy which can be recovered by waste heat recovery systems. The thermoelectric concept is seen as a perfect solution for recovering waste heat from engine exhaust and converts in to electric energy. Since the use of semiconductor materials for thermoelectric applications, there has been a huge quest for improving its figure of merits (ZT) to make it commercially viable. This review starts with thermoelectric concepts and explains briefly the challenges in enhancing the figure of merits. The present study focus on various operating condition i.e flow rate, temperatures of fluids and position of thermoelectric module. The configurations of thermoelectric generator play a vital role for increasing effectiveness of the heat recovery system. Thermoelectric generator technology can be incorporated with other technologies such as PV, turbocharger or even Rankine bottoming cycle technique to maximize energy efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

A paper plate is a plate made out of paper and often lined with plastic to prevent liquid from leaking out or soaking through the paper. The base paper for paper plates is called kraft. This kraft is coated with the thin layer of silver film. This paper is then pass through successive stages of rolling, and then gets wounded on a roller. Then it is cut for required dimensions (here 14x28 in). After then this paper of required dimensions is pass to the press machine for giving required shape of plate. The operations from taking out the roller of coated paper, cutting it for required dimensions and then transferring it to the press machine are carried out manually, our aim is to automate this operation. This project work deals with automating the above mentioned operation of the manually operated paper plate making machine available at “S.M. manufacturing and trading” company at Bhandara(M.S).
